As a mama of a 27 month old and a 3 month old, I am keenly aware of the rapid demise of looking put together. If you were to stop by my home unannounced (which I don’t recommend doing!), you would most likely find me in yoga pants, a nursing tank and, if you are lucky, a t-shirt. A shower may or may not have happened the night before and a quick look at my hairstyle can answer that question for you. It is not that I don’t care how I look, but I honestly don’t have enough time to put much, if any, effort into my appearance while I am at home.
Thankfully, I am blessed with a husband who prefers me in jeans and a sweatshirt then heels and a dress. He never bats an eye if he comes home to see me wearing pants with remnants of my toddler’s lunch on them and a t-shirt sporting my high school mascot. That is one among many of the reasons that I love him.
My go-to hair style since having my daughter has been a pony tail with or without a headband, depending on when I last was able to wash my hair. When I found myself breaking hair tie after hair tie, I knew that I needed to find a different way to pull my hair back. I had heard about Lilla Rose from others in the blogosphere and thought this would be a good time to give their product a try. I contacted Independent Consultant Anjanette Barr to see how she could help me out. She sent me a flexi clip to try for the purpose of this review and is offering one to a reader as well!
What is Lilla Rose?
You can read about the history of the company here.
Lilla Rose makes beautiful and functional jewelry… for your hair! Our most popular item, the Flexi Clip, is made with music wire and comes in seven sizes. It is a comfortable and durable alternative to barrettes, elastics, and claws – and so much prettier! In addition to the flexi clip, you’ll find adjustable hair bands, bobbie pins, and more at Lilla Rose. There is something for every hair length and type. The best thing is that they are simple to use, which makes them perfect for busy moms who want to look nice without sacrificing family time.
I love that I do not have to wrap anything around my hair like I did with a hair tie. This prevents breakage and it doesn’t leave me with a headache as hair ties often did. I also love that I can rock my flexi clip at home with the kiddos or on a date with my husband. It is simple to put in, requires no adjusting throughout the day and looks great with almost any outfit. I definitely recommend adding a flexi clip or two to your hair repertoire!
Lilla Rose also offers child sized flexi clips, which I am keeping my eye on for when my daughter gets older. How fun to have matching hair accessories! They also carry headbands, bobby pins, badge holders and a fun product called the Flexi Oh! that can be used to spruce up a scarf or hold cloth napkins together. They truly do have something for everyone!
